Daisy Mae

5"x7"

Commission

Daisy Mae is a senior citizen.  She's sixteen going on seventeen, thank you very much. And she is beautiful...STILL!  My mother will readily admit to being 85 going on 86.  I recently spent the week with her and I noticed all over again just how cute she is.  When it comes to beauty "age dont mean a thing."

Cutest little mom in the world!

Down On the Farm

9"x11"

Amongst wedding activities, I have been painting commissions.  This painting will find its home in Indiana.  Nestled in behind soybeans and cornfields, is this happy house. These delightful  white farmhouses are sprinkled all over the hills of southern Indiana.

Wedding Project

These are two of the vases my partner in crime (the bride) and I  "DIYed."  The frosted glass version turned out well.  However, much to our dismay, the mercury glass vase cannot be a vase as it will not hold water.  The mercury glass treatment is done on the inside of the container and when water is introduced the paint flakes off.  Refusing to allow defeat, we found the mercury glass to be even better candle holders than vases.  The candles glow beautifully in them.
