This little home was discovered in a rose bush. Mother bird built the nest in the spring when the bush was sparse. Sadly, as the bush filled out she was not able to get to her baby through the thorns. She did not, however, abandon the nest without considerable effort on her part. Mothers are like that.
I love seeing this beautiful nest. I love the way you designed it.
ReplyDeleteI am having a show in March and it is all of my nest paintings. I have been doing a series for over a year. Friends started bringing me nests and I now have a wonderful collection of all types.
Julie, a compliment from you is treasured as I have the highest respect for you and your work. I look forward to your show in March!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting and a little sad story !
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane. It is sad. The nest was perfectly intact. No predators could reach it either.
